Out of the Woods Competition Report

Well, we intended to put on an exhibition to show the community what FWWA members and the Perth woodworkers can do, and I think everyone who came along over the two days was suitably impressed.

The quality of all the exhibits was outstanding, and the judges had to get down to the really fine details to separate the final placings for the awards.

We must mention the remarkable work that was submitted by the schools, as both the designs and thought put into their work showed that there are many talented woodworkers just starting their journey.

When we are at these events, we always appreciate the feedback we get from the visitors and the quote of the week was, “that the events in the Eastern States are nothing like as big, or have as many exhibitors as OOTW”

This event could not take place without the tireless work done by the OOTW committee and all our volunteers, so thanks to everyone for their help, and congratulations must go to all those that participated in this prestigious event.

We were only part of the “Joondalup Artisans markets” and our thanks must go to Fleur and her team, for once again putting together the overall event and providing us with our best venue yet.

As an association I believe we should all feel suitably proud that we can host an event of this quality and we should use this inspiration to make sure it is bigger and better in 2024.
