During our recent visit to the Raw Edge workshop, Dave Eastwood warmly welcomed us and offered a guided tour of his impressive facility. The workshop was exceptionally clean and well-organized, with every tool and machine in its place—an approach Dave instills in his team to ensure each day starts fresh and productive. He showcased a wide range of high-quality machinery used in fine furniture making and generously offered access to his larger equipment for members tackling projects beyond their home workshop capabilities.

Dave also shared valuable insights into the challenges of running a small custom furniture business, especially in today’s economic climate. He emphasized the importance of turning client ideas into practical, well-constructed designs while maintaining sustainability by using recycled and locally sourced WA timbers. His thoughtful layout and workflow tips were especially appreciated by members with home workshops.
